Deforestation alerts

Tabular browser for INPE change data: near-real-time DETER alerts (Amazon, Cerrado) and consolidated PRODES yearly deforestation for all six Brazilian biomes.

How to use it

1. Open /app/alerts.
2. Pick a region — DETER (Amazon/Cerrado, near-real-time) or a PRODES biome (consolidated yearly polygons).
3. For PRODES, optionally filter to a single reference year (1988–present).
4. Optionally constrain by bbox (minLon,minLat,maxLon,maxLat in EPSG:4326).
5. Press Refresh — HTMX reloads the table without a full page navigation.

Limits & caveats

• Live pass-through — large bboxes can take several seconds to return.
• PRODES without a year filter returns the newest rows of a 300k+ polygon table — use bbox + year for anything analytical.
• INPE upstream layer names occasionally change; override via env if a 404 appears.
